It's Too Late Baby

Every Saturday WTIT: The Blog brings you a meme called Saturday 9. It’s not to say that this is a bright idea, but it is what we do. A woman named Crazy Sam started this meme because a prior popular Saturday meme specialist Lola had retired. So, Sam contacted all Lola’s participants and invited us to participate in her meme. Let's begin!

Saturday 9: Our House

1. I read that Bud Weiser & Kathy moved into their new house! When was the last time you moved? Where to? Since I'm one of “Bud and Kathy”, you figure it out.

2. If they were making a Hall of Fame for the blogosphere, name a blogger or two who you think should make the list. Why? In terms of real impact, Bobby Griffin of “Bestest Blog”. He gave out daily awards and they were coveted. We won ours here. In 2006-7, he brought hundreds of bloggers together.

My kids a decade ago, 2001
3. What are couple of funny things you remember your parents saying? (Like, “They're starving there in China, so finish what you've got.” - John Lennon) Do you say them to your kids? My kids are grown, so no. But any parent raising kids ends up saying things that made them cringe because they were the sames things your parents said that you hated.

4. What is something that has happened to you that you would consider a miracle? Having a female fan of mine from the 70s contact me. In less than two years we fell in love, got engaged and bought a house. I'm surprised that anyone would even talk to me.

5. What is it too late for? It's too late baby, baby it's too late, though we really tried to make it.

6. What do you try to stay away from? Doing anything or saying anything when I am angry.

7. When you get into a disagreement or fight, how often are you the first to apologize? Yes, generally constantly. Guys are generally wrong.

8. Tell us about a current issue that you’re unhappy with. The pure hatred between the 1% and the Republicans who defend them and the rest of us. The conservatives treats us as though we are incredibly stupid. And when you look at the polls, about a third of Americans agree with them. They live as Bill Maher puts it, “inside the bubble”.

9. How often do you update your blog/site and why? Two or three times a week. Fascinating fucking question.

We're glad that you stopped by.
Enjoy your weekend.

I hope Carole King enjoys the renaissance she deserves. What a great old girl, such terrific songs! My best friend saw U2 recently and heard Bono sing "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?" which I think is a very cool turn of events.

Gal-

Dave Mason does a great "Will You Still" too...

I heart Carole King. I had an 8track of Tapestry. LOL I need to upgrade to a CD, or even just go straight to iTunes. :) Congrats on the new house!

My first 45 record was Carol King's "It's Too Late" with "I Feel The Earth Move" on the other side of the record.
Great... now I'm gonna have those songs in my head ALL day!

Did you see the South Park episode about the 1%? Cartman was the 1% with the President's Fitness test and all the kids had to do PE for recess. Cartman's toys blamed it all on Obama for having the test.

I've had a massive migraine since Tuesday. Please excuse me.

Allison-

I often have said that when I pass that my kids say that "he was a great dad..."

I glad you realized that, that is why I switched sides. Now I'm always right. :)
