The Weather and the Cubbies

Every Saturday WTIT: The Blog brings you a meme called Saturday 9. It’s not to say that this is a bright idea, but it is what we do. A woman named Crazy Sam started this meme because a prior popular Saturday meme specialist Lola had retired. So, Sam contacted all Lola’s participants and invited us to participate in her meme. The biggest difference is that Sam enjoys our participation. All of Sam’s questions and writing are in bold.

Saturday 9: You Like Me Too Much

1. If everyone liked each other, what would we complain about? I think that would leave just the weather and the Chicago Cubs.

2. If you were most powerful person in the world, how would you use that power? I'd spread. I would spread the wealth. I would spread the love. I would spread the health care. I would spread the food. I would spread her legs. Hey, I know that one is childish and sexist, but I gotta keep that fucking warning.

3. If had exactly one year to live, what are the three things you'd want to do before you died? Jill Hennessy, Cameron Diaz and Julia Roberts. And how dare you call them things!

4. If you could change one thing about the world, what would that one thing be? I would make sure that everyone understood that WTIT is really the center of the universe. A WTIT DJ, Bob Smirnoff, once came to a recording session and said, "I am now convinced that WTIT is the only reality. It’s the outside world is fake.”

5. If you could take one thing back, what would that one thing be? Just one? Can't it be all of my marriages?

6. If you were stuck on an island forever but had all the water, food and shelter you needed. What would be the three other things you'd bring with you? I’d take those two beautiful women and plenty of booze. My iPod, Satellite TV and TIVO would come in handy as well. They would not supplant the first three, however.

7. If the internet didn't exist, would the quality of life go up or down? The quality of my blog, now nonexistent would go up. Everything else would go down.

8. If a million dollars fell off a back of a truck, would you keep it? Of course not, unless God wanted me to keep it. I know you are thinking, “How could he tell what God wanted?” Easy. I’d try to chase the truck. If I caught up to the truck on foot I’d give it back. If not, I’d keep it.

9. What is something you said, something you stole, something you did wrong? "I stole her heart, but she loved me anyway." Thanks, Rod Stewart.
